Down East Sea Kayaking Symposium

Aquaterra Adventures is once again proud and honored to be working in conjunction with Carpe Diem Kayaking to bring back an incredible paddling event to Bar Harbor. We will be offering a full slate of BCU training and assessments plus rolling, beginning Greenland and more events on Sullivan Falls.
This quickly growing into one of the best symposiums offered anywhere! We've already booked coaches and students from as far away as the Pacific Northwest. More programs and details will be posted on this site as we receive commitments and confirmations from them, so please keep checking back and refreshing this page.

Symposium Cancellation Policy
Aquaterra Adventures and Carpe Diem Kayaking are proud to be offering the 3rd Annual Down East Sea Kayaking Symposium Sept. 5th-8th. September is the loveliest of seasons in Maine, and Bar Harbor offers a vast and fairly consistent set of conditions suitable for all level of classes we‘ll be offering during the symposium. We can’t control Mother Nature -- she doesn’t even take our calls! We realize that many factors other than weather might come up to prevent you from attending -- illness, family emergencies, business, natural disasters, the sudden realization that you can’t possibly come to Bar Harbor since you’d never want to leave such a fabulous place. To provide the best possible experience for you, we’ll be committed to coaches and all sorts of service suppliers.
So … no refunds will be given for any reason after Aug. 1.
We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance.
For cancellations before Aug. 1 we can offer a 75% refund.
