Introduction to Kayak
Introduction to Kayak is a four-hour course focusing on skills needed for any type of kayak including but not limited to sit on tops, recreational, folding and inflatable. This course is designed to introduce you to the skills required to safely participate in the sport of sea kayaking. Skills covered will include direction on safely wet-exiting your kayaks and how to maneuver your boat properly. Simple rescues will be demonstrated by the instructor combined with the paddling skills practiced by students to maneuver safely and comfortably on flat water. Participants are encouraged to participate in the Safety & Rescue class to further develop their rescue skills.

Location: Meet at Aquaterra Adventures, One West Street, Bar Harbor, Maine unless instructed to meet at Great Long Pond in Mount Desert, Maine.
