 Grand Times for Budget-Conscious
- Aquaterra Adventures - 207-288-0007 If you want to try ocean kayaking but your budget is a bit tight, try the Harbor Sea Kayak Tour. Reasonably priced, two-hours of your time, and a tour to remember. The sunset / full-moon harbor sea kayak tour is the absolute best!
- Mainely Meat BBQs - 207-288-1100 The sampler plate will feed two people. It includes sausage, pulled-pork, chicken and ribs plus a good portion of homemade potatoe salad and coleslaw. Add an Old Soaker Rootbeer, and I guarantee you will be full and satisfied.
- Morning Glory Bakery - 207-288-3041 This local favorite makes their own bagels, muffins and pies. Try a cup of Dark Star coffee with a piece of peach raspberry pie and your day will be off and running. As long as you're not vacationing with your mother, a slice of pie makes a great breakfast.
- Cafe This Way - 207-288-4483 Opens early. Excellent portions and service. A creative menu. Be sure to try the homemade corn beef hash.
- Oli's Trolley - 207-288-5443 Explore Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor on a narrated 1 or 2.5 hour tour. This company has been in business for years, has knowledge drivers/tour guides who will entertain and inform you.
- Island Explorer - 207-288-4573 The island explorer buses are convenient and free. One can explore most of MDI and never have to utilize your own vehicle. The Park Loop Road (during part of the season), Jordan Pond, Brown Mountain and more are all available to you with this great bus service.
- Poor Boys Gourmet Restaurant - 207-288-4148 The Early Bird dinners for under $10 will likely fit your budget. Get there about 4:30pm to bet the rush, enjoy your meal, then you still have plenty of time to walk the Shore Path, shop or people watch from a sidewalk bench. Save room for desert!
