- This preserve is located on the Indian Point Peninsula, which is on the West side of the island. The preserve features mature forests, as well as more than 1,000 feet of frontage on the rocky shore of Western Bay. Remember to respect the property and be courteous. Bring binoculars and be sure to go to the west side at low tide to get good harbor seal sightings. The location is also good for a romantic sunset.
