Kayaking near Acadia National Park, offers some of the most dynamic and diverse paddling opportunities. With breathtaking views around every corner; countless islands; sandy shores and rocky cliffs. Common sighting includes harbor seals, bald eagles, harbor porpoise, common loons and osprey, all accompanied by views of Acadia National Park over Frenchman Bay. We paddle in wildlife rich, protected area, with islands to shelter us from the open waters. Come explore the quiet side of Frenchman Bay.

Beth Harvey's Review on Yelp

This was such an amazing time! We were on a family vacation in the area and actually stopped here to ask them about something else and ended up signing up because it looked so cool! The double kayaks were perfect as our two boys could then each paddle with a parent or just rest if they got tired... Our guide, Dave, was so fun and so great with stories and local knowledge to include wildlife both in and out of the water. He was so awesome and engaging with our boys as well! And I am so sorry that I can't remember his name :( but the bus driver was super friendly/nice too! Totally recommend this company for a fantastic paddle on the sea!.

We had the most amazing experience with Aquaterra Adventures! We had a hard time finding a kayak rental that could accommodate our party of six, and Aquaterra was able to help us without issue. When we arrived we were greeted by David (an owner) and his pup (amazingly soft and sweet), and introduced to our guide Dev. Dev was a fantastic guide! He answered all of our silly questions with a smile and was fun to joke around with. He is very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and pointed out the beautiful islands and mountains, and even offered wonderful suggestions for hiking. We were lucky with the wind and weather and were able to take a break on a remote camping island - it was amazingly beautiful! If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely make sure to visit Aquaterra Adventures.
ALSO this is the same Aquaterra Adventures as the location in Bar Harbor, which is actually closed as they’ve moved to Sullivan.
Thank you again Aquaterra for the wonderful memories!

Having known Dave for many years and kayaked with him in Bar Harbor years ago, we were excited to travel to his new quieter location in Sullivan. We were lucky enough to be his first trip out since reopening the business in this new spot. We can’t say enough good things about the trip. It was amazing! Kayaking in Bar Harbor is fun but kayaking in the waters off Sullivan is the way kayaking is meant to be in our opinion! SOOOO worth it to make the trip from Mount Desert Island! We will be back! And this time we will plan on camping at the beautiful campground that the business is located at- Acadia Seashores Campground.
