Our Story . . .
With over 20 years experience leading tours and paddling the coast of Maine, Aquaterra Adventures has found its new home. After operating our business from the waterfront of Bar Harbor since 2000, we have scouted the shores of Downeast Maine and beyond, seeking the best place to continue to conduct the quality of tours and adventures that we like to lead. This search repeatedly took us back to the northern portions of Frenchman Bay, where we are accompanied by beautiful views of Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island. We have finally found what we were looking for and are setting our roots down in Sullivan, Maine. The water conditions in Flanders Bay are quite protected from the prevailing winds and from the waves generated in Frenchman Bay. The fresh water flowing into the head of Flanders Bay attract many different types of wildlife, including seals, porpoise, bald eagles and much more.
