Acadia Puffin Cruise

Set sail aboard the 40′ Tricia Clark, the oldest puffin boat in Maine. This is a 2.5-hour tour down Frenchman Bay to the stunning Petit Manan Island. During this tour, you will also experience the breathtaking views of Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula.


The island is home to a variety of seabirds and water-dwelling mammals, more notably the Atlantic puffin. Other species you may see are Razorbills, Arctic Terns, Roseate Terns, Common Terns, Guillemots, Cormorants, Bald Eagles, Eiders, and a variety of gulls. Also, both Harbor and Gray Seals call this island home.




Bar Harbor Ferry

Departing from the Bar Harbor Inn Pier at 7 Newport Dr. in Bar Harbor

Enjoy a boat ride over to the Winter Harbor/ Schoodic Peninsula (The quieter side of Acadia National Park). Bring snacks, a picnic lunch or enjoy ordering great food from one of the local area restaurants. Bike riders enjoy this area….bring a bike over on the ferry or rent a bike when you arrive in Winter Harbor! The Island Explorer ‘free’ shuttle will meet at the ferry and also is designed to carry bikes. Ask for a Schoodic Chamber brochure for a wealth of details on hiking, biking and shopping.

Departing from the Schoodic Marine Center at 88 Sargent St. in Winter Harbor

Conveniently arrives at the Bar Harbor Inn pier after the approximate 45 minute boat ride. While on the boat, look for wildlife such as seals, harbor porpoise, bald eagles and other water foul. Arriving in Bar Harbor, enjoy shopping, restaurants and other in town activities as well as visiting Acadia National park by shuttle or other means of transportation. Bring a bike or rent one in Bar Harbor. Take a Windjammer Cruise of Frenchman Bay!
